It's been almost six weeks since I posted.so much has happened since then.packing and getting ready for my move to the west coast by myself, winding down at a job I was at for more then eighteen years, and anxiously awaiting the start of my new adventure as a California girl.
Leaving the VA and my life in New Jersey was bittersweet I spent my entire life as a jesey girl.
The outpouring of love and support was amazing both at work and my friends and family in Passaic.
One dinner out after another anda beautiful kiduush in my honor my last Sahara in Passaic, with very special guests who made the trip to Pasaic especially for that occasion I can't put in words how special that was to me having the Gurocks,Stolls and Rosenbergs at the kiduush even the Rabbis
Drash was tailored to the occasion. Just thinking back I'm getting tears eyed.
The movers came the 18th of May and my flight was the 20th.motti and I went to NOBo for a very special dinner sooo worth it.the morning of my departure Resa Fogel came by,along with breach & Nikki .A final tearful fairwell .Simmi drove me to the airport I think we cried the whole ride.
But the next chapter begins I landed I eventfully in Oakalnd. With an adorable welcome home sign made by Lizzy.
So many boxes and som many things to a do and unpack but no room.within a couple of weeks things began to fall in place.Rick and I put together a wardrobe form Ikea I must say it worked out better and ome smoothly then we both. Imagined
Started my new job at Highland hospital on the 8th of June .the people are so helpful and friendly and they love to make fun of my New Jersey accent but that's a good thing.so our fourth Shabbat together here as husband and wife we are having company for dinner.
I do love that Rick and I share the cooking.he made his lentil sweiis chard soup and his butternut squash pie in a gluten free crust.i made my tachina(of course) it's a hit here too.broccoli I,roasted potrabella mushrooms, dill rice and we have gluten free coconut blondes for desert.thanks for everyone's support and patience and I hope it won't be as long between my blogs.Shabbat Shalom. And a great weekend to all my friends and family

It's been more than a month since I've posted .so much has happened since then.after Rick went back to the west coast my new job and my new life plans were starting to fall into place. So much to do and in a sense so little time.So after a long conversation with Rick and a conversation with Rabbi Glaser we decided to have a small intimate chupah on Erev pesach yup I aside Erev Pesach.we thought it was the smartest way to go especially with my parents being up from Florida and Rick and his girls planning to be herer for the first days it made the most sense. So Simmi and I started shopping and planning for this unusual event on one of the most challenging day's.paper goods ,large kugel a,eggs matzah ,cream cheese, lox, cheese, whitefish salad and ckes all purchased a really cute dress from dress barn, and silk flowers.
And all while this was happening my oven broke, shopped and kashered for Passover then cooked for Passover in a crock pot,18 qt roaster, and the stove.
The wedding went off almost without a hitch, haha had to move the festivities I inside though thanks to Meir Kruter we were able to get our pictures done outside.so it became a little more intimate but it was a blast.we were even able to Skype the entire chupah to dovid,Lital, Aryeh and Matla
I could not have done it without my sister Simmi's help.
The first days of chag were lovely family together .I flew out to California for the last days got all my pre employment stuff taken care of while there and it gave me an opportunity to get to know Joanna better.
While all this has been going on I've been continuing my gene blocking therapy and my immunotherapy infusions every 3 weeks.
Flew back on Monday back to work on Tuesday.
I made it official I tendered my resignation Monday the 20th ,booked the mover and my flight out west is set for the 20th.
here it is Sunday April 26th,and the countdown begins 3 weeks left to work but once again my sister and brother in law came through.we got 24 moving boxes packed ,maybe half way done but I feel like there a light at the end of the tunnel and one big positive, no time to think about my aches and pains
But I'm especially looking forward to my next adventure,a new job a new life with my wonderful husband in zcalifirnia

Still home recuperting
Here it is post op day #12 but getting stronger and better everyday. It's been busy and hectic since I last posted. But it's been with wonderful.Rick came in last Wed night we had a beautiful Shabbat with family and friends.the weekend was capped off with Rick and sitting at the dinning room table as he played for me the platters song "With this ring". Then he proposed.
This week has been very quiet since I'm stuck at home(not allowed to drive ) until I see the surgeon
Next Friday.Bored to tears, also with the ice and impending weather can't even take a walk safely around the block. But this is just another bump in the road that will pass and just make my resolve that much stronger.

One week out
here it is just one week since my small bowel resection and am recuperating better tau anticipated. But all the being said and done,as much as I "look". Good there is still a long road ahead.Im very limited in what I can do no lifting,no driving and definitely no work.Im sort of stuck here until I see the surgeon 3/13/2015. I sometimes get a little tired of being the strong one the one who can handle anything being stuck at home alone for 2 weeks is frustrating but so much better then the alternative.
I think always being the strong one the go getter the one who does not let anything get in her way. Does I'm fact get in the way and that persona I exhibit actually is jus away to cover up my fears and insecurities about what the cuter may bring not only in my professional life but my personnel life as we'll there is no way I could have made it through the last 10 days without the support of my family and friends and especially the love and support of my son Motti,my sister Simmi and my folks in Florida and my boys in Israel
OMG I can't believe I just ranted like that but I think I had to get it off my chest .Scared of what the future will bring now.
But on the positive side Rick came in from the west coast last night and is here for the weekend and looking forward to spending the weekend with family and friends
Feel free to know on the door and stop by even if it's only for a few moments

My own bed.
There is no way I could have gotten through this without the love ,prayers and support of my family and friends.

Presidents Day Weekend
I know it's been a couple of months since I've posted but things have been busy and hectic.
After the first of the year I received and accepted a really great job offer at Alameda Health care in Oakland California as a urology PA, and will be most likely moving to the Bay Area sometime in May of this year.Things have been going really great with Rick and are moving in the right direction.
My health thank G-d has been stable and I'm still taking my oral genetic therapy and though at times the Sid effects kick my butt I'm hanging tough and it's worth it.
Here it is a frigid Friday so I decided to hunker down and cook and bake for Shabbat .So here is my menu.Home made challah, my home made tachina,& chumus,,chamutzim, salad, gefilte fish
Chicken soup, rice, roasted Brussels sprouts, pargiout. For dessert gluten free olive oil cake, and cinnamon bookcase wit tea and coffee.looking forward to sharing it with Motti & friends.Wishing all my friends and family a warm safe weekend and a Shabbat shalom.
